The Haitian people have now turned to looting as of the scarce amount of food left. The aid is being provided at too slow a rate for the people to cope. Many cars have been hijacked. A local UN warehouse was raided where 15,000 tonnes of food was stockpiled.

Two young sisters had been buried under rubble for 6 days and were finally found by rescue workers. It's a miracle that they survived said a reporter in Haiti.

The Haiti earthquake struck at 4:53 pm local time, Tuesday 12 January 2010. The United states Geological Survey recorded a series of 33 aftershocks. These aftershocks were what really did the damage.
